Post tensioned bridges and balconies
During the conversion of a townhouse built in 1886 in Chicago, an additional “open air room” was created due to the new construction and the addition of another story to the garage. This room is connected to the building by a post tensioned granite bridge. The second post tensioned granite slab was incorporated as a balcony.
